I currently offer individual therapy, meaning one-to-one sessions where it’s just you and the therapist. Our sessions are a confidential and safe space for you to talk openly. The only time confidentiality may be broken is if there is a serious concern that you or someone else may be at risk of harm.
We will review the work together after six counselling sessions and talk about how things are going, including whether you would like or need additional sessions moving forward. You can stop the sessions at any time.

Given the right conditions aided by the therapist, self-actualisation can allow individuals to reach their full potential and become their true selves. Such as:
Empathy- The therapist sees the individual’s viewpoints and puts themselves in their frame of reference.
Congruency- The therapist should be open and truthful about how they perceive the individual and their experiences.
Unconditional Positive Regard (UPR) - Accepting the individual and how they are when entering the therapy space.

Working with attachment allows the therapist and the individual to gently explore early childhood experiences and the relationships that helped shape them. This includes looking at past and present relationships (particularly those with primary caregivers) and understanding how these early connections may still influence feelings, behaviours, and relationships today. Through this process, clients can gain greater self-awareness, compassion for themselves, and insight into how they relate to others, both now and in the future.
-
A practical approach that helps the client understand the connection between their thoughts, feelings, and behaviours. Together, the therapist and client gently explore negative thoughts and how they can shape how we see ourselves, others, and the world.
CBT also looks at being overly self-critical and helps the client notice how these patterns can affect their mood and choices. Then, as the sessions continue, the work may move deeper to explore the underlying cause that often develop earlier in life and continue to influence how a person responds to challenges.
By building awareness and learning new and more balanced ways of thinking, CBT supports clients in developing healthier coping strategies and a stronger sense of confidence.

CFT helps clients develop a kinder and more supportive relationship with themselves. It is especially helpful with self-criticism, shame, or the feeling of “not being good enough.”
In sessions, we explore how emotions work and why we may respond to stress or difficulties in certain ways. Clients will learn gentle tools to help soothe their mind, feel safer within themselves, and respond to challenges with more understanding and compassion.
